Drop-In Knit and Crochet Group

Saturday, January 7, 2023 - Saturday, January 6, 2024
Palmyra, VA

Join us every Saturday for our weekly FREE Drop-In Knitting & Crocheting Group. Experienced or novice, our easy chairs are a great place to meet other needlecrafters, ask questions, get hints on how-to with needles or hooks. MaryJane is full of suggestions for finding help in this group or on YouTube. We can help left-handers learn how to knit and crochet. HINT: Use a mirror so a leftie can see in reverse what a rightie is stitching. Or check out YouTube videos especially for lefties. Come in. Find a comfy seat. Fix yourself a cup of tea or instant coffee. Then sit back, relax and share some creative time with others. You can bring your own supplies. There’s no requirement to buy our yarns. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday! #creative #sacredacresfarm #knitting #crocheting #free #saturday

Sunday Fiber Workshop

Sunday, January 22, 2023 - Sunday, December 17, 2023
Palmyra, VA

Join us on the third Sunday each month from 2pm to 4pm to learn different ways of playing with fiber. We are starting 2023 with two hands-on workshops about how to clean and prepare raw alpaca fleece for use in wet and dry felting and spinning. January and February will be dedicated to prepping the fleece. March and April will be opportunities to make products using the prepared fiber.

Class size is limited to 8-10 individuals. All workshops will be held in the studio on the top floor of the two-story barn. There is a ramp to access the store/studio. For individuals with mobility problems, we offer to pick you up at your car with our 4-seater golf cart. Just let us know when you register that you need this service. In warm weather workshops may be held outside, weather permitting.

Cost for workshop is $15-$20 per person, plus cost of any supplies needed. January and February workshops are $15 per person.

Sign up for workshops by calling (703) 945-0766 or contact us by email on our Contact Page.

Fiber workshops will be on the 3rd Sunday each month (Except January, which is the 4th Sunday. My bad!)
